Alicia Edgar
A Theatrical Space
Alicia has always found herself drawn to the world of theatre. She was dancing in her crib and singing as she found her voice. She used to choreograph dances in her house and drag her parents from the couch to her makeshift 'theatre'- tickets, house, stage, and all. There were no limits on her imagination, or her determination.
Whether she is found on the stage, in the rehearsal room, dance studio, or her office- she continues to be motivated to do everything she puts her mind to to the best of her ability. And she can be found everywhere! Performing, choreographing/ teaching dance, box office managing, creative managing, backstage, and so much more. She is a choreographer for local NH theatres, dance teacher at Lakes Region Dance, Box Office Manager at Plymouth State University, Creative Manager for Advice To The Players, and has vast experience with musical theatre, Shakespeare, carpentry, and stage management. She strives to give all that she can to every aspect of the performing arts (and beyond) that she can. Alicia is hardworking and easy to work with. Her passion for theatre gives her the power to learn and grow from all of the aspects she works in and the people she works with. There is a take away from every experience and she strives to find it.
Alicia is an alumna of Plymouth State University where she received her Bachelors degree in Performing Arts Production and a minor in Standardized Patient Training. This is an Interdisciplinary Contract that is built around working in almost every aspect of the theatre. Alicia designed the degree to contain acting, dance, technical theatre, business, and marketing. Training she needed, skills she wanted to learn, and strengthening what she was already good at. Since then she has worked for Advice To The Players, Winnipesauke Playhouse, Shakespeare & Company, and now has found herself back at her alma mater where she is now the Box Office Manager and pursing her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Alicia’s work in dance has given her a basis to work in several styles of dance and has given her the space to both improv and choreograph works that she relates to and can portray emotions and themes through her movement.
